The young Baron Gyula Milványi de Cseszneg

Baron Gyula Milványi de Cseszneg (1914, Csorvás—?) was a Hungarian poet, translator, politician, and, as Julius I, prince of Pindus and Moglena.

In 1941, during World War II, he became a counsel for Aimone of Aosta, who was at the time King Tomislav II of the Independent State of Croatia. In Croatia, he became a baron. In 1943, due to his influential Italian friends and his Balkan relatives, Baron Milványi was proclaimed prince of the Vlach state formed around Pindus and Moglena valley by Italian collaborator Alcibiade Diamandi (who had previously ruled it as Alcibiades I).

Prince Julius was only a nominal ruler, and he sought contact with the Allied governments. His intention was to assure territorial autonomy for Aromanians and Megleno-Romanians. In 1943, as Nazi Germany's presence took over from the Italian troops, he was forced to resign due to his Jewish kinship, and was arrested by the Gestapo. He managed to escape back to Hungary where took part in the rescue of Jews.

After the war, he went with Aimone of Aosta to Argentina.
